Jenny is the daughter of a master tailor and her mother was a pattern cutter, so you might say that she has it in her blood. She started quilting in the late seventies and took classes with many different tutors in order to learn a wide variety of approaches to quilting and to ensure she was to become well versed in all aspects of the craft incorporating skills for both machine and hand quilting. Jenny became a quilting teacher in nineteen ninety two and taught a wide range of techniques in an even wider assortment of venues, putting particular emphasis on developing the skills within the student in a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Jenny’s specialist department is Durham style quilting and she gives talks and demonstrations around the country on this type of quilting.
